San Mateo Dojo's Farewells to Shiomi sensei

Want to see the enlarged photos?  Click here to be redirected to the web album.

Shiomi sensei sadly says farewell to us and is moving back to Japan in March due to his job assignment.

We appreciate his contribution to San Mateo dojo and presented our gift to him on Feb. 27.

He received a hakama which had our words of appreciation embroidered. Paul worked very hard to make this happen and delivered it to Shiomi sensei's home. Due to Covid19 circumstance, Michi had arranged the Zoom meeting which other kenshi could join to Paul online. Neil took these pictures. Thank you guys!

Sayonara, Shiomi sensei. Thank you for all of your wonderful kendo teaching and your friendship. Please drop in to our practice anytime when you come back to US.

New treasurer (CFO) of San Mateo Kendo Dojo Inc.

Due to Shiomi sensei's leaving, Konopka sensei will become the new treasurer (CFO) of San Mateo Kendo Dojo Inc. and a member of NCKF Board.

He will begin to collect the annual fee of San Mateo Dojo and NCKF/AUSKF memberships. He may ask to send the payment via Zelle. Please let him know if you aren't familiar how to use it.
